Our Policies
East Cape Guides™ is dedicated to providing the highest level of service for our clients to relax, enjoy and catch fish. Here is our policies for planning, booking and guiding services:
Reservations
East Cape Guides™ will work with you to plan and coordinate your trip itinerary. The client is responsible for confirming all reservations and payment of deposits, flight tickets, transfers, hotel accommodations, boat charters, food/beverages and tips.
Payments
East Cape Guides™ will not assume any responsibility for payment of flight tickets, luggage fees, transfers, hotel accommodations, boat charters, food/beverages and tips.
Guarantees
Although East Cape Guides™ will provide the client (you) with the best opportunity to your target fish species, we do not make guarantees as to the availability of certain of specific fish species for the client (you) to catch. Fishing is fishing, nothing is guaranteed.
Weather
Although East Cape Guides™ will work with the client (you) to select the best time of year for your trip, we will not provide any guarantees as to the weather on your trip. Nor will we assume responsibility for any foul weather during your trip. No refunds will be provided due to foul weather. This includes high heat, winds, storms, and/or rough seas.
Guide Fishing
Our guides do not fish unless invited to do so by the client (you). A guide may "hook and hand off" a fish to the client in certain situations to optimize the clients opportunity to land the fish or if the guide is fishing to maximize the amount of baits/hooks in the water.
Illegal Drugs and Alcohol
DO NOT BRING ILLEGAL DRUGS INTO MEXICO. In Mexico you are guilty until proven innocent and possession of illegal drugs is a minimum of eight years in a mexican prison. Just don't do it. Alcohol is legal to bring down to Mexico but we recommend limiting it to a couple of bottles of spirits and wine.
Sickness, Bodily Injury and Death
East Cape Guides™ will not assume responsibility for any sickness, bodily injuries, death and/or dismemberment incurred by the client (you) while en route to or at a destination, including all charter boat trips. We are also not responsible for heat related illnesses, food/beverage related illness and/or seasickness. No refunds will be provided due to illness.
Weather, Boat Malfunctions and Acts of God
East Cape Guides™ reserves the right to make necessary changes to the trip itinerary, including change of hotel rooms, boat substitutions or cancellations due to weather, fishing conditions or over-booking. East Cape Guides™ will assume no responsibility boat malfunctions, weather, fishing conditions or acts of god.
