Flights/Accommodations

At East Cape Guides™ we pride ourselves in providing quality services to our clients. Part of the services are planning your flights and accommodations with you. We then connect you with a travel agent to confirm your reservations.

Cass Tours
We work exclusively with Cass Tours to plan and reserve your flights, hotel and boat charters. Cass Tours is a family owned travel agency specializing in vacations and sportfishing packages to Baja California and Mainland Mexico hot spots since 1987. When we plan a trip, we only go with Cass Tours.

Flights

East Cape Guides™ will plan your round trip flights from your city in the U.S. to your desired destination, either Los Cabos Airport (SJD) or La Paz Airport (LAP). We recommend Los Cabos Airport (SJD) for it's close proximity to the East Cape Resorts. Flights will be reserved by East Cape Guides™ but must be purchased by the client. Because flights may sell out quickly during peak seasons in the Los Cabos area, we recommend that our clients purchase flights to the East Cape as soon as possible.

Accommodations

For accommodations, East Cape Guides™ has selected what we think are the premiere resorts on the East Cape. In this time of giant, high rise, complex style resorts, we think it's important to choose resorts that preserve some of the Old Baja Style. These fishing ranches have a long and colorful history in Baja since the 1950s. While these resorts not only provide great experiences for anglers worldwide, they also giving back to the communities of the East Cape. They also provide great snokeling, scuba, sea kayaking, atving, horseback riding and relaxing.

Van Wormer Resorts
Van Wormer Resorts includes Hotel Palmas de Cortez, Hotel Playa Del Sol and Hotel Punta Colorada. The VanWormer family has been serving the sportfishing community since 1966 when Robert VanWormer opened Hotel Punta Colorada. They have been an integral part of the East Cape community ever since. Each hotel has it's own feel from standard courtyard and ocean view cabana style rooms to deluxe ocean view rooms, take your pick. All meals are included.

Rancho Leonero was started by wildlife cinematographer Gil Powell in 1950. Powell's nickname was "El Leonero" because of his many trips to Africa filming Lions. Rancho Leonero (Lion Ranch) has played host to such Hollywood bad boys as John Wayne, Bing Crosby, and Errol Flynn. After Powells death, John Ireland took over Leonero in 1981 and has continued to provide anglers with great fishing, relaxation in true old baja style. Leonero offers 35 rooms and ocean view cottages with all meals included.
